Drink to that

Being British, we love a good pub especially in Crumpled HQ. So trotting across this post on SCP design blog, I thought I'd re-blog because of the love but also, if I'm honest, because of the surrounds of the pubs are really interesting.

All the below were Truman's East End pubs, the images are from their archives.

The Crown and Shuttle captures my imagination. It has closed down (2001) and stands forlorn and abandoned on Shoreditch High Street; as of yet not reclaimed, converted or more horribly knocked down. You can almost hear the ghost as you walk past.
